Covid-19: Back To School Resources

Covid-19: Back To School Resources 1

A collection of resources to support the transition of children back to school during the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic. As with all inclusiveteach resources these are free to use and designed for pupils with SEN. I primarily work with autistic pupils and need engaging, simple visuals to aid their understanding. We now know that the pandemic has had a huge impact on children’s mental health. It has introduced the education system to hybrid learning and a myriad of other impacts. So whilst some of this post is an archive of those days I have maintained the links to relevant resources such as a Personal Space social story to download.

These are purely designed to appeal to specific learners who are more likely to engage with their favourite characters than other information about coronavirus.

Maintaining Personal Space Social Story

Respecting Personal Space: A Social Story to Teach Boundaries

Maintaining appropriate boundaries is an important social skill. Download our free personal space social story PDF to help teach children the importance of respecting others’ personal bubbles.

Our social story uses simple words and visuals to explain what personal space means. It defines personal space as the space immediately surrounding a person’s body. Being too close or touching others without permission can make them feel uncomfortable or unsafe.

Download our personal free PDF social story.

Access the google slides of the social distancing rule cards here. You can then edit the wording or icons, download as a powerpoint or print.
