Why collect E objects for your Class?

Picture this: Mrs. Edgecombe, the eternally enthusiastic English teacher, decides to spice up her vocabulary lesson with a grab bag of ‘E’ items. She reaches in, eyes gleaming with the fervour of a game show host, and pulls out… an egg. “Exciting!” she exclaims, as thirty pairs of eyes stare blankly. Undeterred, she dives back in. “Ooh, an eraser! Electrifying!” The class remains unmoved. Determined, she plunges her hand in once more. “An… earwax remover,” she announces, her smile faltering slightly. A few students wrinkle their noses. But Mrs. Edgecombe soldiers on, pulling out an earthworm, then an emery board, then an expired carton of eggnog. By the time she triumphantly brandishes an enema kit, half the class has fled, two students are retching, and the principal is standing in the doorway, looking decidedly unamused. Mrs. Edgecombe, however, remains oblivious, already planning tomorrow’s lesson on the letter ‘F’. God help us all.
