A Spooky Sensory Experience.
Are You A Monster? Halloween Sensory Story is similar to Are You An Elf? and Am I a Pirate? These are “Dressing Up” Sensory Stories. The idea is that each element of the story will be revealed from a bag or box and worn by the learner, this means these sensory stories work better 1:1 or if you have multiple props. You don’t want your learners waiting around or not having enough time to explore/process each element.

For a more in depth discussion about Sensory stories and for our other free sensory stories please visit our main page. I would suggest thinking about using a mirror so the learner can see each element on themselves or using the mirror as a reveal with the last line. If the individual will find dressing up aversive you can adapt where you or another adult dress up but allow the learner to experience each element first.
